Those look as if they have great potential. They need a bit of a histogram stretch to brighten them up.

Thanks Mark. I will take another look at that. Still a lot to learn about processing. Getting my hands on LightZone has helped but most of the changes I tried last night made the picture grainy. One of my BSIA buddies suggested light painting the foreground during exposure, which I did attempt at Dunnottar Castle later only to find it was too far away.
