Lovejoy, Pleiades and Hyades 16 Jan

Friday night (16 Jan). Comet Lovejoy passes near the Pleiades and Hyades.  35mm lens on Canon 600D at f/4 on a tracking mount. 10 exposures of 5 minutes at ISO 800 stacked together.  Image then cropped.



The tail stretches all the way back to Epsilon Tauri - the star forming the right hand side of the bull's head where Aldebaran is the left hand side.

Mark. Is it possible to plot multiple Comet sightings onto the same starfield so you can see it's progress through the sky?
