Very pleased with these considering the really low altitude. Taken on successive nights.

Really nice Duncan!
The spot is really clear; very nice detail coming through.
How did you get the moon to show up?
Noel
Hi Noel,
Thanks. The seeing was exceptional, the jet stream seems to have gone on holiday. I didn't do anything 'special' to make the moons prominent, just made sure collimation was spot on and the atmospheric dispersion corrector was accurately set up. The ADC is easy if your using Firecapture. I was lucky that two different moons were in the right place on two successive nights at the point in time when Jupiter was between the trees to my SSW. Couldn't even see them on the video.
Excellent images Duncan!
You have tons of detail there. They have a slight "overprocessed" look but that's a only a minor criticism.
Mark
I second Mark's comments, great work.
Carole
Thanks guys. They should theoretically be identical if a tad over sharpened in Registax as I used saved settings. But they are different sides of the coin and so maybe I should have treated them differently.
Like the size and detail , great image.
