Rocket Pooch

Everyone say ahhhh!

Anyway here it is Regulus with a B&W Web Cam and the Star Analyser from Jim.

And yes the non-calibrated spectrograph.

All I need now is to take a A0 class star to do the calibration, if you look closely at the spectra you can see the lines.

Chris

P.S. I was wearing animal skin on my head at the time...

Fay

Chris,

You are getting very scientific now! How many stars will you be analysing?

Glad that you were dressed correctly!

Two one reference and one to work out the emmissions, they I might do another?

JohnP

What Can I say except the image doesn't quite compare with your images of M42 or M27 or Saturn....... etc. but 'each to their own....'

Can't wait for RGB version.....

Tony G

Ian

was the animal still in the skin at the time?

Rocket Pooch

Ian, it was on the end of my head.

BTW my little White WO ZS66 just arrived at work :-)

Ian

I was just wondering about the other animal in the skin ;) It's just a pain trying to get them to sit still if they're still in it...

Nice new toy. Selling anything to make way for it?

Rocket Pooch

Take your pick F6.3 10" 1/8th Hilux Newt with super secondary holder does not fit in the observatory?  Bugger.

I'd even part with the Vixen at the moment due to space, HID is getting a little miffed.......

Rocket Pooch

And this is a picture facing West

JohnP

You've started me off again - i'm going to have to leave the room....

Tony G

Chris,
you must live bloody close to that bloke Jack Martin that came down to us last year, he had a wall like that but on three sides  :-? and as for the animal skin you should try the 'Donkey Jacket', I find that keeps you warm, but some say it looks better on a Donkey

Fay

Chris,

Can we have a picture of you facing east, suitably attired of course, looking like Davy Crockett!!!

Fay
