Two of the UK's worst aquatic invasive species are set to meet.

Scientists believe that the ranges of the plague-carrying non-native crayfish and the fierce Chinese mitten crab are beginning to overlap.

I'd sure hate to have a bad dose of fierce Chinese mitten crabs !  :o

I've a friend who works for the NHM answering letters from the public to the entomology department. Apparently, most (more than 99%) of the reports of "alien" species they receive turn out to be native species...
