I returned from holiday last night.
Here is the Moon, Mercury and Venus taken yesterday morning half an hour before sunrise from a Dubai hotel beach - on the Palm. Saturn, Mars and Jupiter were also visible but wouldn't fit into the photo!

You'll need to click on the image to see it slightly larger. I nearly missed it by waking up late. I dashed down to the beach but then realised the better view would have been from the road outside the hotel.
To be honest, the sunrise makes the better picture, taken from the road:

I didn't exactly know where the sun would rise, so I ended up dashing 100 metres down the road to catch it between the buildings.
Dubai was only a 2 night stopover on the way back from Singapore and Malaysia where there was far too much cloud to get good sunsets or sunrises.

Good grab! The Sun through the taller buildings is excellent with the apparently heavens bound light beam. Did you get to see any night sky?
