Mike

Just a reminder that there is an Imaging Session at my house this Friday from 8pm onwards.

For those of you new to the society, the Imaging Sessions are a chance to come along and either participate in some astrophotography (weather permitting) or to watch others do it and learn how it is done. If it is cloudy we stay in and socialise and on occasion we have a talk or demonstration on something astrophotography related. Any member is welcome, you don't need to have any astrophotography kit of your own. You are also welcome to bring along a friend or partner.

If you want further info them send me a PM .

If anyone would like to volunteer to do a short talk or demonstration on an astro-photography related subject then that would be appreciated.

Could we have a play with video stacking software like, but not necessarily, Registax ?

Thanks
Robert

Mike

Are you offering to do a talk on that or asking for someone else to demonstrate it?

I could do a quick AviStack run through if people are so inclined... My laptop doesn't have HDMI output though, only old analog.

Mike

Thanks Duncan. I think I have a VGA to HDMI adaptor somewhere.

I'll bring my laptop which has AVI Stack/Registax and HDMI.

Laser collimating the 20ft replica Herschel telescope looked good fun as well!

Have you got Autostakert! [sic]? It's another option and quite good.

RobertM

Heard if it but not used it.  I'll make sure it's there too.

Saturday is the 12th....... but I'm guessing Friday was the correct day!

I really need to sort myself out and come along to one of your sessions!

The Thing

Thanks to Mike and Petra for hosting.

Mike
