Well we will need the wellies but the forecast at night is good for all three nights so with any luck we might get one good one in, so you all about 4pm.

Whitters

See you there

Another brilliant weekend, lovely views of a really dark sky on Saturday although sadly disappointing for the 'imagers'. We really enjoyed ourselves, thanks to those involved in organising  all aspects of the event and everyone at the field for their great companionship.

Looking forward to Feburary.

An excellent weekend. We had great weather - who would have thought we would have been sitting in the field in T-Shirts in October !

Saturday night was a great night for observing, though dissapointing for the astroimagers as the clouds kept putting in a sporadic appearance. However, we resorted to eyepieces instead of cameras for the rest of the night and saw some fantastic objects. Even M31 was clearly visible to the naked eye as a large elliptical object.

We even had a very entertaining fireworks display on Saturday night. I think there were approx. 30 people there this time which is a record for an Autumn DSC !
