Title: How much can we see from Hayes Bromley?
Post by: Whitters on Jan 28, 2004, 06:55:00
While processing the image of M101 I noticed what I thought could be tracers or faint extensions to the spiral arms.
I have processed the image with a gradient to try to enhance these tracers and for comparison reproduced a NASA ultraviolet image which shows the structure of hot blue stars nicely. What do you think?

The original image.

The gradient enhanced image.

Where I believe I saw the 'tracers'.
