CME IMPACT: As expected, a CME hit Earth's magnetic field today (Feb. 27th @ 1645 UT), and the impact has triggered geomagnetic storms around Earth's poles. I'm on an aurora alert website register and was even sent an email a couple of days ago to say this was coming... And I clean forgot! (More to do with the fact the last one I got send was Northern Scotland only.)
By the sounds - it may still be visible tonight....
Thick cloud at the moment... Were our skies the same last night? (Hopefully it was and didnt miss anything!)

I looked out the back facing north, and saw red sky between the trees. i thought how weird to see a sunset in the north! I went to the front, and it was not red out there, did not realise what it was.
Now if it had been green.......
