Title: Jupiter and Io, 2016-03-31 21:03 UTC Manche, France
Post by: The Thing on Apr 03, 2016, 16:47:47
Here's another one. The main difference is no Baader Neodynium filter and the scope was collimated this time. This was the last of a sequence with the GRS disappearing stage right. You can just see the GRS trailing turbulence to the left of Io. I had a 20 minute gap so not good for an animation

The new FireCapture ADC setup feature is brilliant. It measures the  channel offsets and gives a target display on top of the image. You then just move the levers until the R & B targets line up with the green.

I think the next improvement will be after I have installed the belt drive in the mount which will reduce vibration, then maybe a mirror cleaning session.

Looking very good Duncan.

The Friecapture ADC setup sounds very useful.
