Iridium 'flare' at magnitude -3.0 between Jupiter and Regulus (Leo). To put this in context, at the point of peak brightness, this is something the size of a large satellite appearing brighter in the sky than Jupiter, closer to the brightness of Venus. The photo doesn't represent that very well because Jupiter was at mag -1.64 for 29 seconds whereas the satellite was mag -3.0 only for a split second. 29 seconds exposure with Canon 450d. 9th May at 23:19.

Fantastic stuff Kenny. You are certainly on the lookout for photogenic opportunities!

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!
