Title: False Colour M51 & Individual Frame
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Mar 16, 2005, 07:05:00
I had a go on Saturday at a false colour 2 x Narrowband and 1xBlue filter for a colour composite of M51, look at the Red stars there heavy on Ha emmissions and the greenish areas are big on OIII emissions.  Not perfect (I will try harder) but I was using a new F3.3 focal reducer and its a git to focus with.

Right then, new toys etc so here we go: -

R = 20 x 30 seconds Ha filter;
G = 40 x 30 seconds OIII filter;
B = 40 x 5 seconds blue 80A filter;

Meade LX90 & F3.3 unguided, with SAC8.

All processed with AIP, Registar and Photoshop, smoothing done in PixInsight.
