lovely FOV & nicely framed Fay. What's it look like if you push it harder in processing - looks to me like there is a lot more to bring out....?
thanks John, yes i could do. i did think i should get more at 900 secs. will have a go
Cor, coming along nicely 8)
thanks Phil. i am having a bad patch with my images. have done a few but all not too good, either because of composition, or clouds or too feint a subject. i will have another go at processing this one though

Had a go at reprocessing your image hope you don't mind, look's like you have some ghosting on the image top left hand corner.

Ha Ha very funny!!!!! I must say though I had a lot of problems with the Moon shining into the lens that side!!!!
Nice one Fay
So at least you haven't broken the QSI then ;)
no not yet...........hows the packing?
Really impressive Fay, that's a lovely lens you've got there
I like is a lot Fay, could do with some O3 and SII though.....
And I must admit its making me think about using my L lens in France in two weeks time.

Chris
You off to France again. :cheesy:
you are all too kind. just set up in the snow (dedicated) fixed the QSI to the WO ZS66, to test focus tonight. first going to redo Rosette see if i can process better.
looks clear tonight, but that moon is very prominent.
It's already -2c here today already!
-1C here and dropping fast. I might have a go at imaging Mars with the webcam given the state of the moon tonight.
I am just heating up my pet bed warmer for sitting on in the garden!!!!!!
You are so dedicated Fay, sitting outside in this freezing weather so regularly.
Very nice image, that must be a really good lens you have there.
Carole
thanks Carole. burnt my behind on the pet warmer!!!
Quoteburnt my behind on the pet warmer!!!
OMG!!! :flame:
      that is what it felt like
Is this pet bed thing designed for substantial pets like donkeys or pit ponies, or is it for the run of the mill cats and puppies ?
Would you say that you are heavier than a cat or a puppy and might actually break the pet bed ?
Setting fire to your bum could be the least of your worries in the cold and damp of the garden while sitting on something plugged into the mains :(
IT is for cats & dogs & you warm it up in the microwave. it was really good, but so much heat coming through. i thought it would be cold quick outside but it lasted very well. Even though it was burning, i stayed put...................................
QuoteIT is for cats & dogs & you warm it up in the microwave
... ahhh I spy a problem - no good for DSC's unless you take a microwave oven with you...
Mick - you got a Mwave in your van?
QuoteIT is for cats & dogs & you warm it up in the microwave.
Thank goodness for that, I had visions of you going up in a cloud of smoke :boom: :flame:
QuoteMick - you got a Mwave in your van?
No - but I bet Fay now has one in her tent now
i did suss the setback at DSC.................mmmmm
