Data from two different years and two different focal lengths.

Combining the data increases the capture time to 11 hours 50mins

2020 taken in Swanley Bortle 6
Atik460EX & WOZS71 HEQ5
Ha 22 x 600
Oii 11 x 300 binned
Sii 11 x 300 binned
Total imaging time 5h 30m

2022 taken in SE London Bortle 8
Atik460EX and Samyang 135mm @ F2.8
Ha 20 x 600 (3h 20mins)
Oiii 18 x 300 binned 1 hour 25m
Sii 11 x 300 binned 1 hour 35 mins.
Total 6h 20mins

Total combined time, 11hours 50mins

Sunspot group 3664 is just coming back round our side of the Sun, and this morning (0700z) it shot off an X 2.9 flare. An associated CME, aimed as it is, will miss the Earth. However, the group is still clearly active, so keep an eye out....

Thanks Carole. Noise Exterminator is a wonderful thing, as is a little Gaussian Blur on an over-sharpened image :unicorn:

A new trick for this image was to apply a depth of field filter in Affinity Photo to push back the smaller stars and make the brighter foreground one more prominent. Make the glob look more 3D. You can put this one in the competition if you like, full res is on the gallery.
