Title: Clear skies!
Post by: MarkS on Mar 24, 2020, 02:24:31
It looks like we are now enjoying a few successive clear nights.  As a side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic there are also no aircraft contrails.

Clear skies!

Yes have been out twice.  Lonely Astronomy in the back garden is one of the few hobbies that can be done during the Lock down.  So I guess we are lucky in that respect.

Yep, I've been taking advantage. Fantastic day here today, t-shirt weather.

I've been imaging M63 at night (and trying to work during the day...).  Seeing is horrible despite good clarity.   I was hoping to image L until tomorrow and do colours later.  Aiming for >18hrs of L to see if I can get a hint of the extended tidal distortion around the galaxy.
