Title: M82 25/26 March
Post by: MarkS on Apr 12, 2020, 09:49:24
Another image from those 6 consecutive clear nights in March.

This is a bit more than 5 hours of data (650 x 30sec) taken over two nights - 25/26 March.
Modified Sony A7S on Celestron C11 with Starizona LF corrector.

The jets in this image look more subtle than many other images you'll find because I didn't take separate data through an H-alpha filter and plonk it on top.

Here's the full size version:  http://www.markshelley.co.uk/Astronomy/2020/M82_20200325.jpg

That's come out really well Mark including the jets, which I didn't think would show up unless you had an Ha filter.

Another excellent closeup !  The jets have come out really well and so many background galaxies...

I'm not sure I'd like to be living on a planet anywhere in that galaxy !

Ditto, very nice. I lik the subtle approach to the jets, nicer colours.
