Nothing.
I could never line up my subject on the WO, when I had lined it up on the dual plate with the ED80 & It's finderscope, as the WO did not have a finderscope, so Tony has put a laser on it.
It was probably harder as I always line up via the ccd camera & not an eyepiece.

If you were using it on a dual-plate with the ED80 then whynot just use the finder on the ED80?

I could never get it lined up Mike.
Don't forget, this is a hobby with lots of toys available!!!

Hi Folks,

The un-official DSC will start in March onwards down at Lydd, the campsite John and I went to is not open all year round.  I'm going to find a all year venue but it might take some time.

As for Feb, me and the pikey 2000 will be there if I'm about.

Mike

OK i'll get Jeff to contact the guy at Tuesnoad then.

So to confirm the February date is Tuesnoad then?

I seem to have lost the DSC dates for 2008 (I've got them up to April).

Can some-one remind me as I can't find them listed on the site, but I am sure some-one mentioned the whole years dates at one point.

Carole

Carole,

All the dates are on this years calendar.

Carole

Are you talking about the calendar on sale?
I haven't bought one as I already have two calendars given to me.

I can only find 4 - 7 April under Observing evenings and Special events.

Carole

If you've been given two then you have no excuse not to buy one...   ;)

I normally get given about 10 each year from suppliers/ customers & the like.. Mike did a real good job on the layout & it has all the details of DSC's, observing sessions, imaging sessions, monthly meetings new & full moons & some great images from society members... Well worth the £5 in my book....

Cheers,  John.

PS - Haven't actually got the calendar to hand at the moment so can't give you the dates... sorry.

Ian

I'll add the dates next time I'm in doing edits to the website...

Mike

Carole I swear you bought one at the Xmas meeting !

No Mike, I renewed my membership, and took a Toast and was in the winning quiz team but didn't take a calendar.

Any news yet Chris? I need to book up my annual leave if it is still going ahead.

Is this unofficial DSC an extra one?
i.e. in between 29th Feb and April.  It has been a bit confusing as there was talk about finding another site and then the February extra one seems to be confirmed at Tuesnoad.
