Hello All
Trust you are all well.
Another image taken whilst waiting for other targets to rise - with the Moon around. Very short exposure in total, less than 5 hours but these bright objects lend themselves to being stretched...(don't look too closely though ;) )

A very nice "filler" Roberto. Amazing control of Alnitak.
Carole
Nice take on another old favourite Roberto.
Thank you Carole, Duncan - very kind.
Carole, the OSC exposures were only 150s which helped. PixInsight is very good when stretching images to non-linear and keeping star cores unsaturated. Then Mark's Arcsinh Stretch did the rest.
Roberto
QuoteMark's Arcsinh Stretch did the rest.
Mark did a tutorial on how to use this in Photoshop, and I used it a couple of times and it was great, but then it kept failing for some reason I can;t remember now, so I had to devise my own system of getting colour into the stars during stretching.
So long since I have done any broadband I have almost forgotten how.
Carole
A lovely piece of sky!
Well done.
Noel
Thank you Noel!
Great image.
The colours look spot on. As a whole it has a very ethereal quality.
Mark
The ethereal part may be because it's low on the horizon and the focus is soft!   :cheesy:
Yet another one I missed :-?
That does look very good. I'd not noticed that blue reflection nebula just north west of the Flame before ! Great capture.
Robert
Thank you Robert!
