Title: Setting up a VPN.

Anyone got some pointers to setting a Decent VPN Server on a windows machine,
It looks like i might be working abroad for a bit so i wanted to set up a VPN
so i can access everything here.

Cloudy, na, quite the opposite, but I'll be working days, that's the problem.
Very very little light pollution, in the middle of no where.
Locals no speak English.

This is towards the north of the country,
up towards pinang.

Its only a short term contract though,

Good for you - I hope it all works out!

I sincerely hope working conditions have improved since that other great Far East railway project, "Bridge over the River Kwai"  :cheesy:

For a minute Mac I thought you were going to Newcastle where noone speaks English and you would need a VPN.

I would think it make more sense to subscribe to a VPN provider rather than terminate your own at home. Unless you want to access your home systems from abroad?

I use OpenVPN at home running on a CentOS VM then an rdp client on my tablet to access the local machines...

Thats the idea mainly, As Rhonda and my old man is not very computer illiterate, its easier for me to either talk them through using avast remote assistance
or log on remotely, as our ip addresses constantly change as they are not static, its easier for me through a VPN.

Plus the fact i can just drop photos in to a folder and they are on my home computer, which will back everything up to my Qnap.

Rather then having a laptop taken whilst im out there,
