they have a very basic form of adaptive optics. The mounts flex with the seeing. Unless you're actually looking through it at the time. But you wouldn't do that because Galileo would not have been impressed with the eyepieces. The erecting prism is good for a laugh, although not actually any use.

They are however, perfectly adequate guide scopes...

I would not guide with it, the focuser is plastic and the weight of my guide camera bent the scope through 90 deg :-)

Actually they are ok, but not if you have a proper telescope, I'm going to cut mine up now and shoot it with the air rifle etc, at least it will die nicely.
