A few shots of the Moon that clear evening last Friday when I also had a go at Jupiter.

Celestron NexImage Solar System Imager CCD camera with 2x Barlow through 6" Newtonian onthe OAS HEQ5 Pro mount. 90 seconds video captured with SharpCap 2, stacked in Registax at 60%, lighting processed in LightZone.

Mare Imbrium and Crater Copernicus

Mare Serenitatis and Crater Posidonus

Craters Clavius, Maginus and Tycho

Mare Frigoris and Crater Plato

The Thing

Looking good, maybe a tad dark.

Try using the Histogram tool and Levels in Registax to get the full range of tones.

Thanks. Initially I had "Stretch histogram after stacking" set but on a couple of images that generated very over-exposed images so I switched that off. In the end I used the Relight option in LightZone so if they appear too dark blame my mouse and my eyes. ;)
