My first attempt with the new scope.  OO 12" f/4 with 2x barlow (2400mm f/l) + ASI120MM and Baader NIR filter and captured in SharpCap.  I'm not sure it's that crisp but it's so much better than the first attempt that I'm really happy with it.  Processed in PIPP/AS!2 and pixinsight (devolution, HDR and Curves).

The Alps, Alpine Valley, Caucasus, Aristoteles and Eudoxus area:

Archimedes, Aristillus, Autolycus and Eratosthenes drizzle stacked (a bit overblown in places):

Looks really good to me. Loads of detail and good tonal separation. You should be really pleased with that scope and your rebuild. It's really difficult not to blow out highlights on the Moon, you really need to do captures from which you can produce an HDR composite.

Very nice results Robert!   Good looking moon images.

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!
